| The patient’s case history and the instrument and laboratory tests are therefore fundamental for the doctor, who must prepare the patient for profitable beauty treatments; the program for this treatment will also closely depend on the results of these tests.
Let us come to analyze what are the alterations, which these conditions produce in the patient.
They have a common denominator: the progressive atrophy of the muscles in the affected area. This progressive atrophy is due to the accumulation of fat, which completely encapsulates the muscular abdomen, causing the alterations in the circulation, with an actual hypoxia of the muscles themselves. The muscle shrinks further and further, it deflates, so to speak, leaving room for the fatty capsule, which surrounds it and increases evermore in size and consistency. It is therefore obvious that the process must be stopped, so that the muscle, coming back to its original volume and tone, occupies again the space, which it had vacated in favor of the fatty tissue.
To interrupt this cycle, in my opinion, it is essential first of all to act from the outside to break the fatty capsule, which covers the muscle.
We can reach this result with toning by electronic stimulation.
The benefits of this first step are immediate: the broken fatty capsule exercise less pressure on the muscle, so that it can receive a better supply of blood, and is thus ready to respond to the next phase of the treatment.
At this point comes the second phase; Isometric gymnastics, which give the muscle back its tone, so that with its renewed tone it returns to its original size. This return to size and tone gives the adnominal muscles the strength to crumble the fatty capsule from the inside, through their contractions.
Therefore, continuing with cycles of Isometric gymnastics, we come to the third phase, that is to the removal of the waste products left by the broken down fatty capsule. There are various methods to remove these waste products, and among these the most important are lymphatic drainage, laser applications and mesotherapy.
